In this special installment of our podcast, Forefront’s Head of Media Relations Michael Kingsley sits down with Managing Partner Eric Soderberg to discuss one of Forefront’s key client offerings: our Media, Presentation & Messaging Training program.

Over the past two decades, the media landscape has experienced a transformation: mass consolidation of publications and outlets has resulted in fewer press opportunities, particularly in sectors such as finance and technology. And on the speaking circuit, firms and presenters must contend with higher event sponsorship fees, reduced travel budgets and audience distractions that start (but don’t end) with a smartphone in everyone’s pocket. For companies to earn media coverage and otherwise gain attention in this shifting landscape, it is essential that spokespeople be able to convey key messages in a meaningful and memorable way.

Our training program prepares clients to make the most of media opportunities and event appearances, whether secured by Forefront or through your own efforts, maximizing the impact of their key messages. Ultimately, the goal is to help clients feel comfortable fielding questions from the media, connecting with journalists to reach their ultimate target audiences and communicating with prospects at events and in sales situations.

Forefront has conducted training sessions with professionals at a variety of seniority and experience levels throughout the finance and technology sectors. We’ve given refreshers to C-level executives, trained engineers and developers who are speaking in a public-facing setting for the first time, and have worked with everyone in between, from salespeople to board advisors.

Forefront’s Media, Presentation & Messaging Training program is available as part of an integrated suite of marketing and communications services or as a standalone offering. To learn more, check out our services, or reach out to mkingsley@forefrontcomms.com.
