The Challenge
Hidden Road Partners had built one of the industry’s most compelling prime brokerage
businesses by letting the work speak for itself. Its conflict-free model, modern technology
stack and ability to provide prime brokerage, clearing and financing across traditional and
digital assets had helped the firm gain traction through referrals, relationships and
execution. But as Hidden Road prepared to raise its Series A and enter a more visible phase
of growth, its intentionally minimal digital presence no longer matched the scale or
sophistication of the business. The challenge was to help Hidden Road tell its story more
clearly without drawing unnecessary attention to itself.
The Strategy
We developed a messaging framework that captured what made Hidden Road different
while preserving the firm’s understated ethos. The core narrative positioned Hidden Road
as the global credit network for institutions: a conflict-free provider of prime brokerage,
clearing and financing, powered by quantitatively driven technology and real-time risk
management across venues, products and asset classes. The goal was not to make Hidden
Road louder, but to make the brand more legible, more substantial and better prepared for
a higher-profile stage of growth – while staying true to the firm’s internal mantra that “well
done is better than well said.”
The Execution
We began with key messaging and a new website, then evolved into Hidden Road’s fully
outsourced marketing and communications partner. The website delivered a more
complete and intentional digital presence while maintaining the firm’s minimalist
sensibility: clean, functional, substantial and deliberately free of unnecessary flourish.
From there, we supported Hidden Road across PR, design and sales enablement, helping
announce its $50 million Series A and subsequent business milestones, including new
offerings, regulatory approvals and geographic expansion. Across website updates, sales
sheets, decks and launch materials, we maintained a unified, sophisticated treatment that
reflected the seriousness of the business without overpromising or overpromoting.
The Impact
Hidden Road entered its next phase with a market presence that finally matched the quality
of its business: clear enough to support growth, sophisticated enough for institutional
audiences and restrained enough to remain authentic. In 2025, following steady wins over
the course of our engagement, Ripple announced its acquisition of Hidden Road for $1.25
billion – an outcome that underscored the strength of the business, the clarity of its market
position and the value of its communications strategy.
