summer 2024 Intern EXPERIENCE

Timeframe: June 5, 2023-July 31, 2023

Are you a great writer with a dedication to the craft and an eagerness to learn new things? Do you enjoy using social and digital marketing tools to tell compelling stories and keep people informed? Are you interested in learning the basics of corporate communications and PR? What about the camaraderie of being on a collaborative team of driven and caring professionals? If yes, then keep reading.

Located in the buzzy Flatiron District of New York City, Forefront Communications is an award-winning, rapidly growing marketing and PR firm that services the most influential companies in the capital markets and institutional fintech space. We apply deep sector knowledge, decades of in-house experience and extensive industry connections to develop highly strategic, bespoke programs that help clients grow, regardless of their lifecycle stage.

We are looking for rising college seniors who are interested in developing their marketing and communications skills in the capital markets and fintech space. The two-month rotational internship will provide the opportunity to gain hands-on experience within Forefront’s three practice areas — content, digital marketing and media relations — and in client-facing settings, where you’ll provide account management support. Interns will also learn about the industry through regular meetings of Forefront’s capital markets crash course: Let’s Talk Capital Markets.

Interns will work four days a week (Monday through Thursday), including a minimum of two days in the office (Wednesday and Thursday). Interns will be paid $20 an hour and work approximately 30 hours a week.

Forefront is a five-time Bulldog PR Award winner, most recently for Most Innovative Agency (Silver) and Best B2B Agency (Bronze). Forefront was named a 2021 Top Boutique PR Agency by Insider, and was one of six agencies named to Observer’s prestigious Financial PR Honor Roll, spotlighting the most influential firms serving the financial services industry. The New York-based publication noted that “the agency punches way above its weight,” helping it build an impressive roster of clients. Forefront campaigns have also been recognized by the Public Relations Society of America (PRSA) and PRNEWS’ Platinum PR Awards.

Candidates may request in writing an accommodation due to a qualified disability, a sincerely held religious belief or another exemption required under applicable law.
