Forefront Communications is currently seeking an experienced, enthusiastic and motivated public relations specialist to join our rapidly growing agency. Candidates must have 3-4+ years of corporate communications experience in the capital markets, fintech or digital asset sectors.
Deep media and industry analyst relationships are a requirement, as is the ability to work at “agency pace.” Experience with and understanding of a broad range of marcomms programs beyond PR, including stakeholder communications, thought leadership, digital marketing and social media, is a big plus.

This is a full-time position that includes a full benefits package and a great work environment that balances the flexibility and productivity of remote work with the cohesiveness and collaboration that comes from being together as a team (2x/week in our Flatiron District office, 3x/week WFH option). Compensation for this role includes a base salary of $70-90k (depending on experience) and participation in Forefront’s profit-sharing program.
Develop, manage and execute on PR programs for multiple client accounts, nearly all of whom will have highly technical businesses
Write and edit press releases, media pitches, social media posts and various other types of corporate communication
Establish and maintain relationships with top-tier financial and fintech media contacts
Develop PR and campaign plans, talking points and Q&As
Monitor industry news in real time to identify newsjacking opportunities
Track, report on and promote client media coverage
Participate in business development/sales activities
Highly organized
Excellent writer and editor
Superior verbal presentation and pitch skills
Deep media relationships and in-depth knowledge of how journalists work
Active on social media (LinkedIn and Twitter in particular)
Ability to work well under pressure and manage multiple competing priorities
Demonstrable track record of raising a company’s media profile
Willingness to roll up sleeves to get things done, which means occasional night and weekend work
Ability to collaborate well with teammates
