Account Executive

Located in the Flatiron District of New York City, Forefront is a specialized marketing and PR firm that services the most influential companies in the capital markets and institutional fintech. We apply deep sector knowledge, decades of in-house experience and extensive industry connections in developing highly strategic, bespoke programs that help clients grow, regardless of their lifecycle stage.

We’re looking for candidates with up to 3 years of experience. Candidates should have a desire to learn about all four of Forefront’s practice areas – media relations, content, digital and account management – as well as the financial services industry generally. Proficiency in the Microsoft Office suite and social platforms is required and hands-on experience with tools like MailChimp, HubSpot, WordPress and the Adobe Creative Suite is a big plus.

This is a full-time position that includes a full benefits package and a great work environment that balances the flexibility and productivity of remote work with the cohesiveness and collaboration that comes from being together as a team. Compensation for this role includes a base salary of $65k – $70k, participation in Forefront’s profit-sharing program and opportunity for additional incentive compensation.

DETAILS

  • Writing and posting content to company and client websites and social media channels, including LinkedIn and Twitter
  • Assist in Forefront’s marketing efforts across a variety of channels, including development of Forefront thought leadership, award submissions, etc.
  • Support client account media relations activities, including development of client pitches, press releases and media lists
  • Develop strong relationships with the media that influence your clients’ stakeholders and possess substantial understanding of what the various reporters at these publications cover and what makes for a compelling story for the publication
  • Write and edit press releases, social media posts, website content, client communications, thought leadership and various other types of corporate communications
  • Understand of all the firm’s clients and how they fit into the capital markets ecosystem
  • Serve as a primary point of contact, draft agendas and manage meeting follow-ups
  • Build and maintain client-specific activity tracking documents in Google Sheets and Monday
  • Proficiency in Adobe Creative Suite, HubSpot and WordPress or comparable programs
  • Basic proficiency with organic and paid social campaigns for platforms including Twitter and LinkedIn
  • Participate in business development/sales activities including direct marketing, pitch books and pitch meetings
  • Willingness to roll up sleeves to get things done in a quick and efficient way
  • Highly organized and able to prioritize and manage competing priorities
  • Team player mindset and willingness to work collaboratively alongside peers
  • Basic understanding of the mechanics of the financial markets
  • Excellent writer and editor, along with ability to grasp and translate difficult concepts
  • Social media savvy (active on personal social media channels including Twitter and LinkedIn) OR experience with Twitter, Instagram, Facebook and LinkedIn: with maintaining corporate accounts as well as curating and overseeing social media campaigns
  • Proficient in digital marketing strategies and tactics
